Rehearsal was nice yesterday. We played nice and relaxing games. In one, we had to count to 40. Sounds easy, but it's not. First of all, only one person could say the number. If two or more people said it, we had to start over. Then, we couldn't say a number that we had already said. And we couldn't say a number right after the person on either side of us did. And to top it all off, our eyes were closed. And were were going crazy slow, like, 30 second intervals between numbers. I think the highest we got to was 23 or so, which isn't that bad. Then we played Hitch Hiker. God, such a great game. We also played Zen Ball...sans the ball. You, armadillo, Louisiana. It's really weird, because I feel like I only know very few of the people in the cast...it's kinda lonely... Oh...the mystery choir piece is..."Carmina Burana" by Carl Orff. I haven't heard it, but apparently it is tres cool. All you alumni need to come back and sing with us. I wore my new Legolas t-shirt to school today for Buck-a-Stuff (I heart it Shannon-Monster!!!) Quite a number of people made comments along the lines of "I want to rape your shirt," "I want to rip your shirt off of you," or "I swear I'm not looking at your boobs..." I actually think i understand Pre-Cal now. I spent about an hour doing the worksheet that Mr. Giese gave us today, and when I finished it, I erased the answers and did it again...and I got them all right!!!!! But still pray for my test tomorrow. Are there any rated-R movies out there? I figured that since I can actually see them now on my own, I should go to one. Wow...17 is old. It feels the same as 16 though. Well, I better be off to bed now.

Costume par-tay last night. Fun was had by all. We wore pretty costumes. We danced to hits like "Barbie Girl" and "MmmBop." We did kareoke (congrats to JJ Coleman and his high score of 96!!!) We ate. We danced. We were asked by icky men in convertibles if we fell out of the sky, even though we were dressed as fairy princesses and not angels (oh wait...that was just me...) All in all, 'twas much fun. Oh...Damon was THE PHANTOM!!!!! Here's the "Who dressed up as what" list: Jill- sexy pirate, Val- sexy vampire, Shannon- fairy (the original one), Kim and Joe- Loyola cheerleader and football player, Kate- butterfly type fairy, Elizabeth- butterfly, Danielle- Jennifer Garner in "13 Going On 30," Kendal-...green person? Kendall, what were you? Kristen- cowgirl/farmgirl, JJ Coleman- vampire hunter, Isaac- his dad in the 70s, JJ Conway- BATMAN!!!, Brady-...? something with a blue robe and a wooden sword..., Bau- a member of the Trenchcoat Mafia? I don't know..., Erin- a sexy person, Holly- I don't know, but she had pretty makeup, Brett- blue man...actually I made that up. I don't know what he was, Yvette- TOGA!!!!!!, and Anthony- cowboy (I dressed him up!), and Francis- Chippendales (sp?)/my present. I think that's everybody... Now that the fun is over, I must start my homework...grr...Pride and Prejudice essay due tomorrow...AP History test on Tuesday...other stupid stuff like French...
Oh, at mass today, I saw... a man that looked like the 70-yr old child of Mr. Brenner and Bush, and the child of Mr. Raybuck and the guy who played Arliss (you know, that show on HBO). It was funny.
Bau: I love this neighborhood Me: Why? Bau: First, there's no cars here (indicating the walkstreet). Also, on the way here, we passed a mean looking factory with smoke coming out of it. Then, we saw two lesbians walking down the street. Interracial lesbians!

I had salmon tonight. Mmm.... Mr. Fuller attacked me today at school. Fuller: Caitlin, come here. Me: {to myself- Crap, I know what this is about...} Fuller: I hear you're singing with Loyola again. Me: Yeah. Fuller: You should join us. Me. Well, I have to pay here. Fuller: You don't have to pay anything there? Me: Well, we had to pay for our dresses, and music occasionally, but that's it. So now he thinks that I don't do NDA choir because I'd have to pay for it. Ok, let him think that. He doesn't have to know that I don't do it because it sucks. But what was weird was the last thing he said to me was "Good luck." This has to be one of those good lucks that really means bad luck or fuck you, or something, right? Well, apparently he attacked Kim during lunch to find out who was in Loyola's choir. God, he needs to get a life.
On another note, I don't remember the exact wording, but here is Mr. Brenner's tampon-Close-Up story: Mr. Brenner: "I was on an emergency pharmacy run, and I was standing in the aisle amazed at how many different kinds there were. So I had to asks someone for help. When I was in the checkout line, I said to the person at the register, 'I don't know he difference between these. I'm just trying them out.' So I was standing in the lobby waiting for the girls to come out, and as I see all the students coming out, I just couldn't resist. So I shouted, 'Step right up and get your tampons! We've got ones with wings that make you fly! We've got pearl ones so in case you don't want to use them for what they're for, you can wear them around your neck at dinner tonight!' And people were staring, and the girls just said 'What's this ass up to now?' "
Aaahhh....good times in Mr. Brenner's class...
Ugh...last semester's honors assembly tomorrow...grr...
Cooke's Market in Smellsegundo is my new favorite store. Not only do they have really good beef jerkey, but they have chocolate covered sunflower seeds, which remind me of Rouen (because I had them there). They also have this really yummy cereal that I used to always eat. It has puffed corn and rice coated in honey.
In chemistry today, my lab group decided to pass time by writing dirty things on Raisa's hand. Examples: penis, testicles, balls, blowjob goddess (not my doing, I swear!), erotic, the internet is for porn (I LOVE the Avenue Q soundtrack!), as well as the names of porn stars. Then Raisa decided to show Ms. Pichon, who replied, "I bet you don't show this stuff to other teachers." Then she laughed. Then Raisa washed off our beautiful writing. But that's ok, because having another teacher, like Ms. Elhabr or one of the nuns, seeing it would be a bit awkward and embarrassing. Ms. Lukacovic would just shit her pants.
My truck is back from the gas station!!! But, my dad still has to take it to the insurance people (tomorrow). So I should hopefully be able to drive it by Thursday.
Oh, keep Saturday the 11th open, because that is probably when I will be having my birthday shindig.

School started today. Blargh. It was so weird being there without my Jill, Val, Katie, Kristen, Emily, etc... I was almost late to AP History...I thought we had break before per. 3, so I had to go to my locker, get my book, and run downstairs. Oh, and we have German students. Fun stuff. I was really sad to hear that Carlotta moved back to Italy. I'll miss her. Ugh, my locker is across the hall from all the sophmores. Eww! Choir Camp tomorrow!

UPDATE: My truck is all better now! I guess it didn't affect the engine, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been (but it was still bad). Frank from the Shell Station said that it looked like someone had poured syrup or Coke or something into the gas tank. Result: they had to power clean all the mechanical stuff and send out the gas tank to be "acid washed." But it should be all better now. I'm glad it wasn't worse, because it would have been a hell of a lot more expensive than the $1300 that it took to fix. So, the moral of the story is, if you ever feel like pouring something besides gas into somebody's gas tank, don't.
On a completely unrelated note, I saw one of those freshman-now-sophmores that I don't like downtown today. She was being a whore.
10:17 am - Damn...
Why does shit always happen to my poor truck? We get a call about 12:30 last night from my brother, and he's stranded on the side of the freeway. He said that the truck had just stopped running. So, he call AAA, and my mom goes to meet him, and they tow it to the gas station. This morning we get a call from Frank at the Shell station. Apparently someone had tampered with the gas tank. They put something in it. Now they're trying to determine whether or not the engine is affected. And they think that whatever was done to it might have been done as early as Monday or Tuesday. So I don't have a car for who knows how long. Crap. My poor truck. I hope it gets better.

Van Halen last night was awesome. AWESOME! There was this group of guys in our row, and literally every five minutes, one of them, sometimes two, would leave and come back with more beer. By the end, they were all dancinig, and I think one of them tried to kiss another. That's when they made him sit down for a few minutes. It was funny. I also saw a woman who was at least 65 or 70. I thought that was funny.
And now, I must go finish my summer reading so I have a least a day or two free before I must return to that awful place.

Does anyone else find it humorous that on Steve's aol profile (yes, I actually do read those. I know I'm a loser) he list "being upset" as a hobby? I don't know why, but I think it's hilarious!

I actually made quite a bit of progress on my summer reading today. I'm proud of myself, even though I still hate summer reading with every fiber of my being. But enough of that. I had a waffle with strawberries and whipped cream for breakfast/lunch. It was yummy. I bought some clothes yesterday at Old Navy. All I really needed was a plain white t-shirt, but I ended up getting that, a pretty wine-colored t-shirt, two scoop-neck long-sleeve shirts (black, turquoise), a black sweater with a flower pin, and black velour sweatpants. I am quite content with my purchases.
Oh, since my brother can't find anyone else to go with him, I get to go to the Van Halen concert tomorrow night.

Joined in the festivities at Kendall's house this evening. We ate pizza, cake (hehehe...), soggy chips, m&ms, fruit, and veggies (ass broccoli). We rode on scooters, listened to music, danced, and chatted. And Katie and I beat eachother with old rolled up newspapers. Then I gave her a wedgie. We also watched some of the Olympics (mens' swimming...aaahhhhh......). Good times were had by all. I'm not sure if I'll go to Rocky Horror after all...I'm kinda tired... I woke up at 6:30 this morning to go to the OC Swap Meet with my mom. I bought a really cute purse. We ate lunch at this yummy bakery called Boudin (sp?). They have really good clam chowder in a bread bowl. Mmmmm..... Then we came home, and I went to Kendall's.
12:52 am
Went to JJ's Mikado barbeque today. It was very fun. I thought it started at 3, but at about 3:40 I drove by but didn't see any cars, so I drove around until 4:20. When I returned to his house, Val and Cat were sitting in Val's car, because they didn't want to be the first ones there. While I was parking, Jill arrived, shortly followed by Emily. So we all went in together. It was so much fun! There were lots of folks there. I sat with Val, Jill, and Gantus for a while. Then we ate yummy cheeseburgers. Then I went to sit with everyone else for a bit. A little while later, I went over and sat on the side of the hot tub and talked with Charlie, Jim, and Ray. Then I went in. It was either go in on my own or be pulled in. It's very interesting wearing a skirt while submerged in water- I just thought you might want to know. Then JJ joined us. Then Katie and Kendall showed up. So did Tony, but he left after literally two minutes. We then decided to go in the pool, but it was too cold, so we didn't stay in long. Then we just hung out and talked while Jim played the guitar. When Doug, Holly, and Cat returned from Katherine's, they brought Nico with them. Tony also came back. And Rita showed up. I left a little around 11. It was a fun night. Tomorrow night, I'm off to Kendall's and then...Rocky Horror Picture Show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Suprise! I'm a soprano! Or so says my new voice teacher. She's a really good teacher, and I like her a lot. She used to teach my mom. We were working on some stuff, and she said, "Congratulations, you're a soprano." That made me happy. :) She is super cool.
Oh yeah, and she was in the LA cast of the Phantom of the Opera, late 80s/early 90s-ish.
